Why should the test wires be pulled apart when testing loop resistance?

Why does the displayed value fluctuate greatly when the loop resistance tester is calibrated?
It may be because the test line is in the shape of an inductor coil and is not spread out. In order to ensure the accuracy of the data, we should pull the test line apart and spread it out during the test to reduce its mutual inductance.
